The calculation convention in Cairo

Mounis calculates the prayer times for Cairo using the Egyptian General Authority convention: Fajr is set at 19.5° below the horizon, and ʿIsha at 17.5°. This is the convention the Mounis engine uses for this country. Your mosque may follow another one: the setting can be changed in the app.

What changes through the year in Cairo

Between the two furthest days of the year the gap is plain: in Cairo, Fajr moves from 04:08 AM at the summer solstice to 05:14 AM at the winter solstice, and Maghrib from 07:59 PM to 04:59 PM.
